First Consultation

Day of Infusion
For the infusion, we will provide a comfortable, private room setting equipped with dim relaxing lights and aromatherapy. For a baseline comparison, patients are asked to fill out a mood or pain assessment scale.
Most infusions are around 40 minutes in length. However, there are some chronic pain conditions that require either a 2-hour or 4-hour infusion. This will be discussed during the initial consultation. Patients will be discharged home with a driver in usually just 30 minutes post infusion. Our goal is to have our patients feel at ease and comfortable before, during, and after treatments.
Watchful Care
At Midwest Ketafusion®️, all patients will have a board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), certified in ACLS and PALS, monitoring vital signs, comfort level, and overall experience. Standard monitors are used to observe blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respirations. Though these are “sub-anesthetic” doses, a provider with a comprehensive knowledge in ketamine administration will be present throughout the treatments. All of our CRNAs have an extensive history in treating chronic pain, are trained in advanced airway management, and have years of experience with facilitating all aspects of ketamine infusions. We communicate directly with your Primary Care Provider and Mental Health Professional to tailor the most effective treatment plan.
