Meet Charlie Hong, CRNA, ARNP

A graduate of Iowa City West High School and the University of Iowa, Charlie returned home to the Midwest after a decade long practicing on the East Coast. He is a Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with over 12 years of practicing safe, high quality, and efficient anesthesia care for all ages of the patient population in all types of surgical settings.

Charlie earned both his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Master of Science in Nursing (MS) from Columbia University in New York City, NY.

He also holds a Master of Science (MS) in Human Nutrition from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. Prior to being a CRNA, he was a cardiothoracic intensive care unit nurse at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Hospital. Charlie was the recipient of Columbia University School of Nursing “Clinical Excellence in Nursing Practice” award; and he was also awarded the prestigious Sigma Theta Tau award for his leadership, scholarship, and community services.

Understanding and witnessing the debilitating effects of a mental health disorder had on one of his closest childhood friends, Charlie has dedicated his time and effort in advocating, educating, and facilitating individuals suffering from all aspects of mental health disorders to regain a better tomorrow.

His expert knowledge, his compassion, and his determination in helping others will benefit the patients at Midwest Ketafusion®️.
